Privacy Statement

1) Information on the processing of personal data

This Privacy Policy describes how data is processed when using the MyROMA app.

“Personal data” means information that can identify a person, directly or indirectly.

MyROMA does not require the creation of a personal account and does not require users to provide their name, address, telephone number or other identifying information in order to access the guide content.

2) Use of the app

MyROMA is a tourist guide that allows users to access information about Rome, including text, images and audio content.

To make this content available, the app uses an Internet connection and external technical services, as described in this Privacy Policy.

MyROMA does not use users' data for advertising or profiling purposes.

3) Geographical location – “Near Here” function

The “Near Here” function uses the geographical location of the device to determine the user's distance from places and attractions included in the app.

Location is used exclusively to provide this function.

MyROMA does not store the user's geographical location in its databases and does not create a history of the user's movements.

Access to location is subject to the permission granted by the user through the device's operating system.

4) Content available offline

MyROMA allows users to download individual parts or all of the guide content to their device, so that it can also be accessed without an Internet connection.

Downloaded content is stored locally on the device and does not constitute the user's personal data.

MyROMA does not provide a specific in-app function for manually deleting downloaded content. Such content can be deleted using the device's functions or is removed when the user changes the language used in the app.

5) Third-party technical services

MyROMA uses Firebase services provided by Google, including Cloud Firestore, to make the guide content available.

As part of the operation of these services, certain technical information relating to the app and device may be processed automatically, such as information about the operating system, the device and the versions of the Firebase components used.

This information may be used by the service provider to provide, maintain and improve its services.

MyROMA does not use Firebase to create user profiles and does not require user authentication for normal access to the guide.

6) Purchase of MyROMA Premium

MyROMA may offer Premium features or content that can be purchased through the device's app store.

Purchase and payment transactions are handled through the store used by the user.

MyROMA does not directly obtain or store information relating to the user's payment instruments.

7) Contact

If the user contacts MyROMA to request information or assistance, or to provide comments about the service, the data voluntarily provided will be used exclusively to manage the communication and provide any necessary response.

Such information will not be used for purposes other than those related to the request received and will be retained only for the time necessary to handle it.
